Alternately you can fill out the Google form on our Get In Touch page.

Do you require a deposit to secure quotation?

For projects that require us to provide materials, we ask for a deposit to secure your quote. This step is vital for mutual commitment, ensuring we're all set to move forward with the planned work.

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept two types of payment methods, bank transfer or cash.

Are you comfortable working in homes with pets present?

Yes, we are comfortable working in homes with pets present. We take special care to ensure their safety and minimise any disruption to their routine. However, for safety, we recommend keeping pets away from the work area. No site can be completely safe for your pet during construction, so it's best to create a pet-free zone for the duration of the work. If your pet is aggressive, it is particularly important to keep them out of the work area.

Do you have a showroom?

While we don't have a showroom, we do have some samples to help you visualise the quality and style of the materials. This allows you to make informed decisions about the materials and finishes for your project.

Are the images on your website and social media your actual work?

Yes, every image you see on our website and social media showcases our genuine work. All photos are either taken by us or shared by our satisfied customers. We never use stock images, ensuring that what you see is a true reflection of our craftsmanship.

Flooring and Flooring Fitting Related

How long does the flooring installation process take?

The duration depends on the size and complexity of the project. Typically, a standard empty room can be completed within a day or two.

Do I need to prepare my home before installation?

Yes, please clear the area of furniture and personal items.

I already have the flooring; can you fit it if I supply it?

Absolutely! Guidance is provided based on your needs, preferences, and budget.

Bespoke Fitted Wardrobes

What are bespoke fitted wardrobes?

Bespoke fitted wardrobes are made-to-measure wardrobes designed to fit perfectly within the dimensions of your available space. Unlike free-standing wardrobes, fitted wardrobes maximise your space efficiently, reducing wasted areas and offering a tailored storage solution.

What is the process of installing bespoke fitted wardrobes?

Initial Estimate:

We kindly request that you provide estimated dimensions and style preferences for your bespoke fitted wardrobe, along with photographs of the installation area. Using this information, we will assess your requirements and provide an initial cost estimate.

Site Visit:

If you are satisfied with the initial estimate, we will schedule a site visit. During the site visit, we discuss the final details, including any specific requirements or customisations. We conduct a thorough survey of the installation area to take precise measurements and assess any potential challenges.

Drawings and Final Quote:

Based on the information gathered during the site visit, we create detailed drawings of the proposed wardrobe design. These drawings help you visualise the final product and ensure all your requirements are met. We will provide a final quoted price, along with the deposit required to secure the quotation.

Scheduling Installation:

Once the final quote is accepted and the deposit is paid, we schedule a convenient date for the installation based on our availability.

Materials Delivery and Fitting:

All necessary materials will be delivered to your location, and the fitting process will begin, ensuring that everything is installed according to the design specifications.

What measurements should I provide for an accurate estimate?

What is MFC?

Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC) is a type of engineered wood product that is widely used in the construction of furniture, cabinetry, and shelving. Chipboard, also known as particleboard, is made by compressing wood chips with glue. When this chipboard is covered with a melamine resin a type of plastic on one or both sides, it becomes Melamine Faced Chipboard. The melamine surface provides a durable, scratch-resistant, and often decorative finish that can mimic the look of wood, stone, or other textures and colours.

What is MDF?

MDF stands for Medium Density Fibreboard, a type of engineered wood product. It's made from wood fibres that are combined with wax and a resin binder under high temperatures and pressure. This process results in a smooth, dense panel that is uniform in appearance and texture, making it an excellent material for furniture, cabinetry, moulding, and millwork.

Fun Trivia

Why is a carpenter called a "chippy"?

A carpenter is often referred to as a "chippy" in British slang, and this nickname has an interesting origin. The term "chippy" likely comes from the word "chips," which are small pieces of wood that are a byproduct of carpentry work. Carpenters create wood chips as they saw, plane, and shape wood. Over time, the association between carpenters and the chips they produce led to the informal term "chippy" being used to describe someone who works with wood. This slang term has been widely adopted and is commonly used in the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

Why are some nails referred to as "penny nails"?

The term "penny nails" originates from the historical pricing system of nails in England. In the 15th century, nails were sold by the hundred, and the price for a hundred nails was denoted by the term "penny" (symbolised as 'd' from the Roman coin denarius). The number before the 'd' indicated the price for a hundred nails. For instance, a "10d nail" meant that 100 nails cost 10 pence.
